Butler, relating to land transactions; a letter from L.M. Spencer, Feb. 25, 1918 to Richard Butler, containing news of home to a soldier; and a letter from Thomas B. Wyman, Mar. 4, 1918 to Van Brunt Manufacturing Company, Horicon, Wis., inquiring if Richard Butler was lost with the sinking of the Tuscania.

Richard Butler was a Master of Arts candidate in the Department of English at the University of Victoria in the mid-1970s. When his Master's thesis proposal, a bibliography of works by Roderick Haig-Brown, was not accepted, Butler continued to pursue the publication of the bibliography outside of his M.A. program.
